Responsibilities

This position performs all functions or jobs related to product cleaning, processing or surface treatment.

 

  1. Performs surface treatment of metals involving a succession of baths or rinses as outlined in company cleaning station plans and work order systems.
  2. Sets heat-treat ovens per specification requirements on company Work Order System.
  3. Plans tank loads and performs proper sequence of dips and rinses.
  4. Maintains solutions in the tanks by performing necessary tests and adding solutions.
  5. Checks parts after processing to determine if parts meet requirements.
  6. Load and removes parts from heat-treat ovens.
  7. Conduct probe check for all heat-treat ovens as required.
  8. Package, protects, and stores parts per processing requirements.
  9. Perform duties to include shipping/receiving process.
  10. Maintains logs and documentation per customer requirements.
  11. Change out tanks as required and performs tank maintenance and control.

  13. Loads and unloads parts, operates forklift and overhead cranes to move parts as required.
  14. Performs daily maintenance and minor machine repairs.
  15. Performs self-inspection as a “Certified Employee”
  16. Ensure proper safety procedure is followed within the team environment.
  17. Maintains a clean work environment in full compliance with company standards, customer and government regulations.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • HS diploma or GED certificate or equivalent in experience with related studies in chemical processing.
  • Minimum 2 years direct experience.
  • Able to become certified in material handling equipment.
  • Knowledge of hazardous material handling and storage requirements including HAZWOPER training certification.

  • Ability to follow and comprehend verbal and written instructions as well as present information in both verbal and written form.

  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic in all units of measurement in percentage, fractions and decimals. Ability to apply concepts and interpret graphs and technical drawings.

  • Ability to work well in a diverse and team environment.

  • Ability to learn basic computer skills.

     

    REASONING ABILITY:

    Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed and involved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardize situations.
