As a member of Triumph Aerospace Structures, the Supply Chain Commodity Analyst will provide support to Triumph leadership in achieving the company’s business objectives through effective management and execution of Supply Chain strategies, best practice deployment, commodity management, and related Supply Chain activities. The qualified candidate will work as part of a functional Supply Chain team and coordinate various activities with Supply Chain Management professionals and multiple manufacturing locations as well as work closely with enterprise Supply Chain professionals and divisional personnel in strategy development and deployment.

 

General Purpose

The Commodity Analyst supports Procurement Professionals by collecting, analyzing, reporting and managing data to provide key insights into Supply chain activities. The position will provide direct support to the site Supply Chain Director on existing and future data management activity.

 

 

 

Responsibilities

 

The position will be responsible for accurately populating and maintaining databases to enable “real time” analysis of Procurement information for purchased product supporting contractual obligations and providing information for Supplier scorecards.

 

Gather and analyze key procurement data using a variety of data mining techniques and the creation of tracking metrics in support of siter operational plans and strategy development

 

Review inventory / availability using demand forecasts in support of operational plans and Customer demand

 

Work closely with enterprise Supply Chain Management to implement Supply Chain commodity strategies for critical direct and indirect materials and support long term supplier relationships

 

Assist in developing division-specific commodity strategies, including strategy formulation, supplier categorization, and strategy implementation

 

Develop strong supplier relationships and communicate clearly with suppliers regarding expectations, supplier performance, and opportunities for improvement

 

Develop and sustain strong inter-functional relationships, promote a cohesive working environment, and balance multiple demands in a fast paced production environment

 

Provide Production and the Program Office with status regarding Supplier and materials availability issues; support / lead Program reviews with key Suppliers to ensure execution of business objectives and production requirements

 

Understand the concept of best-cost and identify cost reduction opportunities related to raw materials and other purchased materials, components and services. Possess the knowledge and ability to communicate cost reduction opportunities internally and work with internal stakeholders and Suppliers to implement cost reduction activities and realize the benefits financially

 

Comply with existing standard work practices and assist in the development of additional best practices to drive standardization of work across the enterprise

 

Qualifications

 

Required Education / Experience

The successful candidate will typically have a bachelor's degree or equivalent in a quantitative or engineering discipline such as Operations Management, Decision Sciences, Business Analytics, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics / Statistics, Supply Chain Management or logistics

 

Minimum of five (5) years’ experience

 

Experience with standard ERP scheduling and ordering practices, metrics, and reports

 

Experience with SAP, Proficient with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project

 

Preferred Qualifications

 

Masters’ degree in Business Administration

 

Knowledge and use of Optimization Tools, constraints development and modeling

 

CPM, CSCP certification or equivalent
