Responsibilities

The Learning and Development Specialist is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing programs and processes that drive performance with the objective of building an overall talent pipeline within the organization. In addition, the person is responsible for ensuring that all Regulatory Training and Licensing Requirements for the Integrated Systems Business Unit is completed and recorded. 

 

Duties and Responsibilities will include:

  • Drives learning and development initiatives, including the development of curriculum to support the strategic business imperatives of the business to increase the success of the achievement of the business’ goals and objectives by ensuring proper training and development of the IS workforce.
  • Directs the needs assessment for training and staff development to ensure that all governmental regulatory training is in-place and that all employees in regulated roles have completed required training and that the date is housed in the Corporate LMS.  
  • Conducts training courses where required in alignment with the needs of the business.
  • Collaborates, coaches, and mentors employees and supervisors on development programs and processes to ensure consistent and effective implementation across the organization.
  • Works with employees in a coaching approach on their individual Flight Plans to help employees determine their training and development needs to help them achieve their professional career goals

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Training, or HR Discipline/Master’s Degree preferred
  • 7 years of corporate training and development experience
  • Aerospace Manufacturing Industry Experience Preferred
  • SHRM Certification
