Overview

Triumph Aerospace Structures - a leading manufacturer of aerostructures for commercial, military and business jet aircraft is seeking several Front Line Supervisors for their manufacturing facility in Red Oak, TX.  The Assembly Supervisor supervises employees who put together component parts to make assemblies, subassemblies, or completed units.  This role has responsibility for delivering the unit's performance scorecard on Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost.

Responsibilities

The Assembly Supervisor will:

  • Plan, instruct, and supervise mutiple units of hourly employees.
  • Engage in performing certain functions and skills essential to manufacture or support the manufacture, test and delivery of the Company's products assuring that established schedules, cost and performance levels are met. Includes the major operating functions of manufacturing engineering, manufacturing, engineering, experimental, facilities, maintenance, materials and quality assurance.
  • Coordinate, monitor, and implement efforts in management planning and reporting such cost reporting, man loading, load charts, work around and recovery schedules.
  • Negotiate change schedules, incorporate engineering design changes, salvage actions and initiate work around as required.

 

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Post High School education
  • 3-5 years of supervision experience in a manufacturing experience

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 3-5 years of Supervisory/Team Lead experience or Bonding and/or assembly experience
  • Highly preferred Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma training or experience
  • Experience with materials planning/control Aircraft/aerospace industry experience is highly preferred
  • Experience working in a manufacturing assembly environment
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Applications
  • Demonstrated Leadership Successes
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, sketches, specifications and pertinent instructions
