Responsibilities

  • Identify new suppliers, visiting existing suppliers and negotiating the terms of the supply agreements  I including discount structures and volume rebates.
  • Establish strategic relationships with key suppliers ensuring a competitive price and delivered on time for production.
  • New product development will require interfacing and fostering close working relationship with engineering and sales departments on the evaluation of new and existing materials and components.
  • Evaluating bids and making recommendations based upon technical and cost competitive factors.
  • Work day-to-day activities (PO execution)
  • Support OpCo business needs (audits, regulatory requirements, etc.)
  • Develop and implement purchasing and contract management instructions, policies and procedures.
  • Address critical issues / resolve site-level issues
  • Assist in RTG programs
  • Manage supplier OTD and quality performance
  • Align with and deploy/implement enterprise strategies

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field preferred
  • 8 years’ experience in manufacturing and commodity purchasing roll
  • At leat 2 years of management experieince 
  • Strong knowledge of purchasing practices and negotiating skills
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize Microsoft Excel, Word and Project
  • Experience in MRP systems is essential
  • Strong leadership skills to overcome challenges and achieve results
  • Analytical skills required to solve complex issues
  • Moderate Travel Required
